Our Commitments

Poisedale recognises that it has a responsibility to operate in a sustainable way both for current and future generations.

THE ENVIRONMENT

We take our environmental responsibility very seriously and endeavour to operate well beyond the legal and regulatory requirements. For example, we recycle more than 90% of our waste, we supply saw dust to the local stables and we burn wood waste for heating.   We are also continuing to invest in more energy efficient lighting, machinery and vehicles to further reduce our impact on the environment.

At our workshop we have set aside a strip of land as a native species hedgerow to provide a natural habitat for insects and birds and our old buildings provide an annual nesting site for migrating house martins.

SOCIAL POLICY

We also recognize the need for Poisedale to make a positive impact on the local society in which it operates. We do this by creating employment including via our accredited apprenticeship programme and by sourcing locally whenever we can.

We are also active in our local community, whether that is making replica stocks for the local museum, providing work experience to local schools or sponsoring local good causes.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Poisedale is committed to providing a safe working environment whether that is in our workshop or on site.

We are SSIP accredited, all our people who work on site are individually accredited and we also have a professionally qualified member of staff who oversees health & safety across the business.
